We all know that Yoda (from Star Wars) is a great teacher of Jedi warriors, but Yoda’s wisdom can also help aspiring online marketers. Below are five of his most powerful teachings:
A Jedi’s strength flow from the force.

Yoda is saying there’s a force, a spiritual power, deep within us that if tapped into will give us the strength to tackle any situation tha.comes along. He knows that we are part of a larger force that’s connected to the universe. We don’t have to rely on our own physical and mental abilities only.
Sometimes there’s nothing like having an extra source of strength to guide us when we feel we can’t move one step further towards our goal. This inner force is what can help push us over the top and on to victory.
A Jedi must have the deepes.commitment, the most serious mind.
- Ho.committed are you to your goals?
You’ve signed up for several good (legitimate) affiliate programs but you’re frustrated. It’s been two months and you haven’t made any money yet.
So, what do you do? You abandon them and look for something more lucrative.
While you jump from program to program, have you ever thought about why you weren’t successful with the last one? Why are others making money with programs you’ve abandoned?
Yoda knows that we must make a seriou.commitment to our goals (in this case: making money with an affiliate program) and stick to it.
By giving up too soon and no.committing yourself to success, you ensure your own failure.
Size matters not.
- Don’t be afraid of starting out small
Yoda is physically very small, yet his inner strength and wisdom is enormous. When Yoda calls on the force you can imagine how much energy must be going through that small body. Yet, he is able to control it and make it work ‘for’ him.
Size doesn’t matter when you’ve got the hidden force of intelligence, agility, enthusiasm, and determination on your side.
So don’t worry about starting out small with few resources. That will not determine your success. Your belief in yourself will.
The dark side is quicker, easier, more seductive.
What is the dark side of online marketing?
- MLM scams, pyramid schemes, get rich quick opportunities, SPAM
Yoda knows that we are easily lured and tempted by offers from the dark side.
Who of us has not been tempted by the idea of easy wealth and more freedom to enjoy our lives, while lazily sitting around and doing nothing of value to earn it?
Beware of the dark side. It will lead you to a life of empty promises and even emptier pockets.
No! Try not . . . Do or do not. There is no try.
- Make up your mind to take action!
You always hear people say, I’m going to try to do this or that. The word TRY is very wishy-washy. It allows us to have an escape hatch from taking any action.
For Example:
You’ve got a great idea for a web business that you’re really excited about. You’ve done your research and found it’s a perfect little niche area that won’t require a lot of
start up time or money.
You’ve talked your idea over with several people and they’re all very enthusiastic and can’t wait to see it up and running.
You’ve registered your domain name and found the perfect host for the site. Now all that’s left is for you to fill your web pages up with interesting content and your product pictures.
The next day you sit down at you.computer and you . . . hesitate.
You’re frozen by self-doubt.
Finally, you convince yourself that your idea isn’t going to work after all.
Oh well, at least you tried . . .
Tried to what? Get started?
Yoda is advising his Jedi to not let the word TRY be a part of their thinking.
There is only the action word of: Do
You either DO something all the way or don’t do it at all.
