tions, you would think that they would realize that there is one equation that they need to spend more time focusing on.
.commerce natural rankings.
When you shake the organic rankings up, you may be costing someone thousand of dollars. I believe that .commerce
is the backbone of Google's income and it is not going to stop anytime soon when you have a market share like they do, but considering that hundreds of thousand o.companies big and small are dumping millions, even billions of dollars in to advertising through Google alone, I think that giving engine spammers a better ranking than a white hat page, must be a mistake.
My opinion of a search spammer.
Someone who creates a web page that is not relevant to the keyword that was typed. What good is it if someone is searching for apples, but lands on a page for oranges. Its not any good. Google has done a pretty good job about this up till now, But from what I see, they are missing one key point. There are more ways to search for an apple than just typing apple.
The point is, if you have a web site that is relevant to 40 or 50 keyword variations, and you write content for those 40 to 50 keywords on individually targeted pages so you can be found, google seems to be deeming this a search spam from their latest update. I can understand the principal behind this, but I believe that google needs to rethink their concept on this a little. After all, google runs the show and they have basically forced SEO's to do this. If they want to get rid of spam sites, why don't they include boolean phrases in to their calculation? Or even better, create a method that Not only puts an emphasis on meta titles and content relevancy, but also for boolean keyword relevancy?
Just to provide an example of what I mean
Lets say that you have 3 web sites that discuss the same thing. On those web sites, the thing that you are discussing is relevant to about 40 keywords. By google standards, you were to write a page based on the content of the keyword, but that can lead to duplicate content if you are not careful. instead of forcing SEO's to do that, why not just take some primary keywords and associate it with all other relevant searches? It would effectively get rid of spam and provide searchers with a clear concise and relevant web site. Is that not what google is about?
I often wonder if google is doing this to introduce new sites to the index and give them new ranks to fish them in, so eventually they will becom.comfortable with a specific amount of traffic. After they attain that traffic, another updat.comes out and they lost that rank they once had, their business was thriving on it and now they must spend money on google advertising to recoup the traffic they used to have.
I do not know what google's next move is in regards to search technology, and I know that they lead the market in their field, but I hope that one day a person can type a search for a specific keyword, and have a site that is relevant to more than just a meta title and non boolean keyword related content.
