The greatest way for more webmasters to monetize their websites, is through Googles' AdSense. There are a lot of webmasters out there trying hard to earn some money through their sites, and then there are some geniuses earning hundreds of dollars a day through AdSense. What
makes these webmasters different from the other is that they are different and think outside the box.
Those who have been there and done that have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have been able to boost a lot of earnings in the past, and continues to do so.

1.Concentrate on ONE format of Adsense Ads. The format that work well for the majority of webmasters is the Large Rectangle (336x280). This format has a tendency to result in higher CTR (click-through-rate). Why would you choose this format over the others you can use? Mainly because the ads will look like regular web links, and visitors, being used to click on them, click these types of ads. Whether they know or not that they are clicking on Adsense ads, as long as they are legitimate clicks, it will be in your advantage.
2.Create a custom palette. Choose a color that goes well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try using white as the ad-border and background-colors. The idea of patterning the colors, is to make Adsense look like it's part of your web-pages. Again, this will most likely result in more clicks from your visitors.
3.Take the ads away from the bottom of your pages, and put them at the top. Don't try hiding Adsense. Put them in the place where people will see them quickly. You'll be amazed at how the difference in locations can change your earnings.

Save your Adsense-code as a text-file, upload it to the root-directory of your web-server, then using SSI you call the code on your web-pages. This is a real time-saver, especially if you're using automatic page-generators to generate pages on the fly on your website.

It is however important to know, that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them.
