One thing sales letters, classified ads, emails, articles, short ads, & FFA sites all have i.common is that they rely on Headlines to capture your
readers attention. If you want to experience a boost to the response to your sales letters, ads, articles, & even in the number of people who revisit your website, then you need to not only master the art of writing headlines but you need to actually put your mastery into practice.

In a telephone interview Dr. Joe Vitale (author of such amazing classics like Hypnotic writing, Advanced Hypnotic writing, Hypnotic marketing, as well as co-author of Hypnotic Writing Swipe File, to name but a few) said that headlines were so important that he used two (especially in emails). In his book Advanced Hypnotic writing he describes a secret 21-point method for checking how hypnotic you sales letters are. Three of those points are directly about the headline, with the headline being mentioned in some of the other points as well. In the same book he also has a chapter entitled S How to write- headlines in under 15 seconds! (Which is,in itself a headline). The chapter describes an excellent method that works even better with the secrets in the Hypnotic writing swipe file. It's so brilliant, so simple, it's amazing.
So why is the headline so important?
Very simple, it's the headline that grabs your attention, it's the headline that engages your curiosity and makes you want to know more, it's the headline tha.compels you to even consider reading that ad, email, or article.
So you get it, the headline is one of the most important parts of your writing/advertising.
But how do you write a masterpiece headline? Well as I mentioned earlier Dr.Vitale has some excellent methods in his books. They're so ingeniously simple & easy to use, but I think he'd kill me if I described them here. But I'll give you 1 or 2 tips.
In his book Hypnotic Marketing in the section on hypnotic emails he said this S Your headline has to be a gun in a prospect's face. While most headlines have to be benefit- oriented, curiosity-invoking headlines are proven to grab readers, too.
